 Dr. Raymond Compton
Dr. Ray Compton hails from Manchester, Tennessee. Dr. Compton graduated Cum Laude from Memphis State University with a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry. Dr. Compton received his M.D. from the University of Tennessee and went on to complete a residency in General Surgery at ETSU . He then completed a Critical Care, Nutrition, and Bariatrics fellowship at the University of Miami before accepting a position on the staff of East Tennessee State University.
Dr. Compton has been Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery in both General Surgery and Critical Care. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and past president of the Tennessee chapter. Dr. Compton has served as the Chief of Surgery at Henry County Medical Center and has overseen the development of a comprehensive Bariatric Surgery program.
